Shoma Chaudhury, other witnesses likely to be questioned

Panaji, Dec 6: Former Tehelka managing editor Shoma Chaudhury and other key witnesses in the

sexual assault case will be questioned by the Goa police on Friday.

Police officials had questioned Tarun Tejpal for about six days and next in line is Chaudhury and other witnesses. Chaudhury and others were summoned by the Goa police via mail.

Chaudhury has been accused of covering up the sexual assault complaint against Tejapl filed by a junior employee of the same organisation. The victim had written a mail to Chaudhury alleging that Tejpal had sexually assaulted her in Goa.

Chaudhury initially said that Tejpal had apologised and the victim was also fine with the apology.

Chaudhury was questioned by Goa police in Delhi but on Friday, attempts will be made to record a formal statement in front of a judicial magistrate.

Reports suggest that the victim had confided in Chaudhury and the other three witnesses about what exactly had happened between her and Tejpal in Goa during the Think fest.
