Shocking Pics: Delhi roads melted as deadly heatwave scorches India
New Delhi, May 28: More than 1,200 people have been killed across India due to the deadly heatwave. Forcasters predicted that temperatures in Delhi and other part of the country will continue to rise.
People in the national capital on Thursday, May 27 were shocked to find a part of Ring Road which was melted due to the deadly heatwave.
Delhiites and people in the NCR region have been struggling to deal with the current condition as temperature has already touched 45.5 degree Celsius.
Nearly 900 people have died since May 18 in Andhra Pradesh and more than 200 people died in Telangana as temperatures hit 48C.
Most of the deceased were construction workers, the elderly or homeless people unable to heed official advice to stay indoors.
