Mumbai, Sept 1: Indrani Mukerjea has become the talk of the town. Her alleged involvement in the murder case of her own daughter Sheena Bora shocked the world.

Days after her arrest by Mumbai Police, many media reports started writing about the dark side of her childhood. It has been reported that Indrani was regularly beaten by belt by her drunken father, Upendra Kumar Bora.

Initially it was reported that Indrani's real father had left them when she was a child. Later her mother Durga Ranee Bora got married to Indrani's uncle.

Indrani was the adopted the child of Upendra Kumar Bora, media report claimed. Meanwhile, it also has been said that Indrani was molested by Upendra.

Upendra and Durga Ranee did not have a happy marriage and would fight regularly, media reports quoted their relatives as saying. Indrani's parents used to lock her alone in their house.
