Sheena Bora Murder: Drug Overdose? What happened in jail, Indrani Mukerjea reveals

Mumbai, Oct 7: Indrani Mukerjea has been discharged from hospital and she was sent back to jail in Mumbai. A day after her return from the hospital, the main accused in Sheena Bora murder case revealed what exactly happened in jail.

Indrani, the wife of former Star India CEO Peter Mukerjea, overruled all reports regarding drug overdose. She claimed that she did not take any medicine.

She, however, was upset after hearing the news about her mother's demise. Hence, her health condition deteriorated and she fell unconscious, stated Indrani.

Other contradictory reports confused everyone. Doctors, who treated Indrani in the hospital, were quoted as saying, "It is a clear case of drug overdose, and she is responding well to our line of treatment, which is similar to any drug overdose case. Her MRI scan ruled out any probability of stroke and the EEG test was also negative for epilepsy."

Indrani was arrested by Mumbai Police as she has been accused of killing Sheena, her daughter from her first marriage with Siddharth Das.

Sheena was missing since 2012. But Indrani told her family members that Sheena had gone for higher studies in US. Later it was stated that Indrani along with her second husband Sanjeev Khanna and driver Shyam Rai allegedly killed Sheena in 2012.

All three accused were arrested and currently there have been sent to judicial custody.
