Sheena Bora murder case: Peter Mukerjea's bail plea rejected

Peter Mukerjea had been arrested in connection with the Sheena Bora murder case.

Mumbai, Nov 16: The Bombay High Court on Wednesday rejected former media honcho Peter Mukerjea's bail plea. He had been arrested in connection with the Sheena Bora murder case.

The special CBI court had earlier rejected Peter Mukerjea's bail application in February. Sheena was murdered on April 24, 2012, but the incident came to light after the arrest of her former driver Rai in another case in August 2015.

Following this, Indrani, Sienna's mother and Sanjeev were also arrested in August last year.

According to the prosecution, Sheena (24) was strangled in a car here in April 2012 allegedly by Indrani, Khanna and Indrani's former driver Shyamvar Rai. Sheena's body was then dumped in a forest in neighbouring Raigad district.

While Peter and Khanna are lodged in Arthur Road prison, Indrani (43) is in the Byculla womens' jail in Mumbai.
