Sharad Yadav’s group getting ready for a show of strength on May 18 in Delhi
With the opposition political parties uniting against the Narendra Modi government, in one such move the splinter group of Janata Dal (United) that had separated from the parent organisation over the decision of Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar joining the Bharatiya Janata Party to form the government dumping RJD of Lalu Prasad.

The group is formally launching its outfit on May 18, 2018 at Delhi's Talkatora Stadium where all its leader including Sharad Yadav, Birendra Singh, Justice Kolse Patil and leaders like G G Parikh will be present. More than a dozen regional political parties are also expected to merge with the new outfit Loktantrik Janata Dal.
Former Janata Dal (U) national general secretary Arun Kumar Singh told One India that though his was the original Janata Dal (U) but due to Election Commission of India under pressure from some hidden forces the symbol of Janata Dal (U) had gone to Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar. This decision was absolutely partial.
Singh said, "Despite the fact that 800 member of national executive supporting us and 200 members supporting Nitish Kumamr, the symbol was given to him. This has harmed the party's prospects in recent elections as we could not contest election properly in Gujarat where we could have done better. Still tThere are two members of our party in Gujarat Assembly and they will be participating at the foundation day programme."
He said that due to confusion in the distribution of election symbol the party could not contest elections in Nagaland, other north eastern states and even in Karnataka. There were two options given to ECI first Samajwadi Janata Dal and the second option was Loktantrik Janata Dal out of that Loktantratik Janata was allotted to the group Sharad Yadav group on April 15. Any new outfit is not allowed to organise any programme under the name of the new organisation so the party convened its workers to Delhi on May 18, 2018.
Party leaders informed that workers from all across the country will participate in it but mostly from Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Western Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Rajsthan and obviously from Bihar.
Around 10000 workers will participate in this rally after that workers will go the their area to built structure of the party.
