MP: Shah Rukh, Ajay Devgan, Suniel Shetty, Manoj Bajpai get notice

The Act prohibits any kind of advertisement of liquor in the state. The Gwalior bench of high court has asked the stars and the managing directors of the three brands to submit an explanation within 6 weeks.
According to a report by TOI, Awdesh Bhadoria, who is the petitioner in this case said that the police was reluctant in registering the FIR against the celebs, despite an enquiry report citing commission of offence by them.
The inquiry was conducted by station house officer (SHO), Indergang in 2013.
IN fact, Bhadoria had filed his petition on this issue on March 24, 2013. Following this, the HC issued notices to the principal secretary home and Gwalior Superintendent of Police to provide explanation on the use of photos of Bollywood stars in promoting the brands.
After investigation, the SHO submitted the report to the SP, citing that a violation of Section 23 (A) of MP Excise Act was found.
