Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan Makes History, Crosses Rs 1100 Cr Mark Worldwide

Shah Rukh Khan's film, Jawan, is performing exceptionally well at the box office and continuously breaking records globally. Directed by Atlee, it has recently achieved a significant milestone by becoming the first Hindi film in Indian cinema history to earn more than ₹1100 crores worldwide and this makes Jawan the highest-grossing Indian film of the year 2023.

Shah Rukh Khan's manager, Pooja Dadlani announced on Instagram that the film Jawan has made history by surpassing ₹1100 crores at the worldwide box office. The post revealed that the film's total earnings now amount to ₹1103.27 crores, with ₹619.92 crores coming from the Indian box office and ₹369.90 crores from the global box office.

The caption read, "Jawan. Making & breaking box office records every day! (fire emoticon) Book your tickets now! Watch #Jawan in cinemas - in Hindi, Tamil & Telugu."

Jawan, a movie released in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages, has become the highest grossing Hindi film this year. It has surpassed the collections of Gadar 2 and Pathaan in India, making ₹587 crore in 23 days. Additionally, on its first Sunday in theatres, it earned a net collection of ₹80.1 crore across all languages in India.

Jawan features Shah Rukh Khan playing both Vikram Rathore and his son Azad, with Deepika Padukone making a special appearance. Nayanthara makes her Hindi debut in the film, while Vijay Sethupathi plays the main antagonist. Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, Sunil Grover, Ridhi Dogra, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Girija Oak, Lehar Khan, and Aaliyah Qureishi also star in the movie.

Co-written and directed by Atlee, Jawan is produced by Gauri Khan and Gaurav Verma under Red Chillies Entertainment. Shah Rukh expressed his thoughts on the film's success on X (formerly Twitter).
