Sexual Assault: Now a ghost haunts Asaram Bapu, Jethmalani in a fix
The ghost is none other than the father of the 16-year-old girl who accused Asaram of sexually assaulting her inside his ashram near Jodhpur, Rajasthan on Aug 15.
It seems that a trick, which was played by Asaram's lawyer Ram Jethmalani in Rajasthan High Court, has returned as a boomerang on the septuagenarian.
Jethmalani, senior Supreme Court lawyer, had applied for Asaram's bail and claimed that the father of the girl is allegedly being dominated by a supernatural power. Jethmalani also had submitted written arguments along with some affidavits, arguing that all the accused wanted in the case, except one, had been arrested and no recovery was pending from any of them.

Asaram's counsel contended that his 72-year-old client should be granted bail considering, inter alia, his age and the fact that the complainant was "mentally unstable" and there were serious doubts about the crime scene described by the prosecution.
He also raised doubts about the girl's age and said she had made up the charges because she was stopped from making online friends during her stay in a boarding school run by Asaram's ashram in Madhya Pradesh.
The high court on Oct 1 rejected Asaram's bail plea. Meanwhile, his judicial custody also has been extended till Oct 11. Although the spiritual guru overruled all allegations against him, he had cleared potency and other medical tests.
Jodhpur Police recently claimed that the "spiritual gur" has been suffering from Pedophilia which suggests that it is a psychiatric disorder in person(s) who has sexual interest towards prepubescent children (generally age 11 years or younger). Pedophilia is also spelled as Paedophilia.
