Mumbai Shocker: Sex racket busted at former Police Commissioner Satyapal Singh's flat

, June 2: In a major embarrassment for Satypal Singh, sex racket has been busted at his flat in Mumbai. Singh, current MP from Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh, is known for his clean image during his service as the Police Commissioner of Mumbai.

According to media reports, social service branch of Mumbai police raided Singh's flat at a housing society in Andheri (west) and busted the prostitution racket.

During the raid, the police arrested two girls and the caretaker of the flat. The caretaker has been identified as Vakil Raju Shah who has been remanded in police custody.

Singh, who was shocked to know about the prostitution racket at his flat, reportedly claimed that he had rented out his apartment to Indiabulls. He also chided that he would take legal actions against Indiabulls for maligning his image.

He was quoted as saying, "I have not gone to the flat for a long time as I had given it out on rent for three years." However, clarifying the company's stand, one Indiabulls official said that the company was not aware of the prostitution racket and blamed the caretaker.

The company spokesperson, who did not disclose whether Vakil Raju Shah was an employee of the company or not, informed that service of the caretaker has been terminated.

Meanwhile, police officials were reported to have informed that cops may seal the flat. This might be the worst experience which Singh might have experienced.

Singh, who resigned as the Mumbai Police Commissioner in Jan, 2014, contested from his hometown Baghpat with BJP ticket and won Lok Sabha election 2014. Singh is the first serving Mumbai Police Commissioner to resign.
