Separatist leader Yasin Malik arrested; shifted to Central Jail
Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Yasin Malik was arrested from Abi Guzar office in Srinagar on Thursday. A police team reached at the Abi Guzar office of Malik and detained him.
He was later shifted to Central Jail in Srinagar. The arrest comes just a day after Malik announced to march to the headquarter of National Investigation Agency in Delhi and court arrest there on September 9.
Earlier in the day, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq was placed under house arrest. He has also announced a protest on Friday against the massacre of Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar.
Three top Kashmiri separatist leaders Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Yasin Malik had threatened to stage a sit-in outside the NIA headquarters in Delhi on September 9.
