Seniors from both religions should discuss love jihad: Uma Bharti
"I don't want to make any direct comment on the issue, but religious heads and seniors of both religions should sit together to take some decision on the matter," she said, speaking to reporters at her residence here, when asked about the issue.
"It should be reviewed if such things are happening or not. But it has to be examined as number of such cases were reported. It must be ensured that social harmony does not get disturbed," she said.
Referring to reports in a section of media that two cases of murder were pending against her, Bharti said the reports were baseless.
All the cases against her were political, such as those related to Ayodhya movement, Ram Sethu or the Hubli National Flag issue, she said, adding that these reports were an attempt to sully the reputation of the Prime Minister and the Union Government.
