Senior JD(U) MLA meets Modi, expresses desire to join BJP

After Sadhu Yadav, Dasai Chaudhary, it was another non-BJP leader who met Narendra Modi and expressed his desire to join the BJP.
Senior Bihar JD(U) MLA Chhedi Paswan called Modi's office on Saturday and met him expressing his desire to join the party.
Paswan represents Mohania assembly seat, which falls under Sasaram Lok Sabha constituency. Paswan had defeated present Lok Sabha speaker Meera Kumar twice in the Lok Sabha polls.
He was elected MLA four times and also served as minister in Bihar.
Paswan's main aim is the dalit empowerment in the region. He had won the 1985 Assembly elections after a majority of the dalits had voted for him.
He even held the portfolio of the Building Construction Minister of Bihar in 2008.
