Senior BJP leader Shivappa passes away
He had led his party as BJP State unit president for three terms and also represented people for four times as MLA and MLC.
Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader B B Shivappa passed away on Monday after a prolonged illness.
He was 88.

He was suffering from age related ailments and was treated at a private hospital in Bengaluru.
BB Shivappa, who has strong RSS roots, said to be the mentor of several politicians including BS Yeddyurappa. Shivappa has played an instrumental role in building strong base for BJP in Karnataka in its earlier days.
He had represented Sakaleshapura constituency in Hassan District, in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly twice in 1994 and 1999.
He had led his party as BJP State unit president for three terms and also represented people for four times as MLA and MLC.
