Sena credits 'Modi wave' for BJP's good show in J&K, Jharkhand
Mumbai, Dec 25: Crediting "Modi wave" for BJP's performance in Jharkhand and Jammu and Kashmir elections, Shiv Sena on Thursday said while the opposition parties were busy staging protests over the conversion issue, people of the two states endorsed the Prime Minister's development agenda.
"The 'Modi wave' continues unabated which has led BJP to post big electoral gains in Jharkhand and Jammu and Kashmir.

Jharkhand is set to get a stable government after 15 years and the credit for it goes to (Prime Minister Narendra) Modi and (BJP president) Amit Shah," an editorial in Sena mouthpiece 'Saamana' said.
"At a time when all opposition parties in Delhi came together on the conversion issue and were spewing venom against Modi, he laid his development agenda before the people of the two states, which the people accepted," it said.
BJP stood at the second position by winning 25 of the 87 seats in the recently-held Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections, its best showing ever in the Muslim-majority state, and bagged 42 of the 81 seats in the Jharkhand polls.
The parties which align to form the new government in Jammu and Kashmir should focus on solving the long-standing problems that the state has been facing, it said.
"Will the Kashmiri Pandits be able to build their homes there (in J and K) again? Will Kashmir be once again called heaven on earth? Will terrorist activities in the state be stopped? Will infiltrations from the Pakistani side be stopped? We wish that the new government is able to answer all these questions," the Sena said.
