Seemandhra: BJP-TDP alliance reaches roadblock
It's been days since the duo decided to form an alliance after BJP supported TDP's cause for Telangana.
However, there is a stark difference in Telangana where both the parties have come to an agreement, despite some obstacles. Leaders of both the parties met at Rajya Sabha member Naresh Gujral in Delhi on Tuesday to seal the deal. Meanwhile, according to inside sources, neither the TDP or the BJP are willing to give up constituencies like Chevella, Malkajgiri and Secunderabad.
However in Seemandhra, the parties disagree to budge from their seat sharing strategies. TDP is prepared to give up 8 Assembly and 3 Lok Sabha seats in Seemandhra, but BJP is seeking 18-20 Assembly and five to six Lok Sabha seats. TDP is also willing to offer Tirupati, Rajampet, Narasapuram , but BJP wants Rajahmundry,Vijayawada, and Visakhapatnam instead.
