Security tightened in Kanpur ahead of Ramnavami
Kanpur, April 14: Security has been beefed up here with police and administrative officials put on alert ahead of tomorrow's Rama Navami celebrations.
Keeping in mind the clashes that had erupted during Ram Navami procession in 2014, 35 CCTV cameras have been installed along the route of 'shobha-yatra' (procession), SSP Sulabh Mathur said, adding four drone cameras have also been demanded for proper surveillance.
Four tear gas squads and as many fire brigade tankers will also be deployed along the procession route, Mathur said. Strict action will be taken against those creating disturbance and mischief, he said.
