Security Forces Launch Operation in Jammu Amid Suspicious Activity
Security forces initiated a search operation in Jammu district's border area on Friday after receiving reports of suspicious activity, officials stated. Eyewitnesses reported that three individuals in uniform, armed with weapons, approached them for water and to use their mobile phones.

The Army, police, and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) launched a joint search operation in Guda Patan and Kana Chak areas near the Chenab river in the Akhnoor border belt. This action followed reports from locals about the suspicious movement of three armed individuals in the region.
Heightened Security Measures
Security forces have thoroughly searched agricultural fields, villages, and nearby scattered habitations. The area has been cordoned off, and the operation is ongoing. Authorities have urged residents to report any suspicious activities they observe.
Ravi Kumar, an eyewitness who was sleeping outside his house, recounted his encounter with the armed individuals. "One of them came to me and asked for water. I told him that I will get it for him. He also asked me for making a call through his mobile phone. I politely declined by saying that I don't have one. They later left from the spot," Kumar told reporters.
Immediate Response
Kumar quickly informed Naib Sarpanch Vinod Sharma about the incident. Sharma said, "I received a call from Kumar, who narrated the whole incident. I immediately called station house officer (SHO) and army officer. They immediately rushed to the spot and launched a search operation."
Given the potential threat, an alert has been issued in Jammu. Vehicle checks and frisking of individuals have been intensified tonight to ensure security.
The security forces remain vigilant and have requested the public to share any information regarding suspicious movements in their areas. The operation continues as authorities work to secure the region.
