Dera Sacha Sauda raid: Luxury car, old notes seized

    Dera Sacha Sauda sanitisation begins amid tight security and curfew in the city | Oneindia News

    The search and sanitisation operations inside Dera Saccha Sauda headquarters in Haryana's Sirsa district began on Friday morning. Around 41 Paramilitary companies, 4 Army columns, police of 4 districts, 1 SWAT team and 1 dog squad have been deployed for search operations. Two rooms full of cash was sealed, some computers & hard disks were also seized.

    Dera search operation could last a week

    Curfew has been imposed in areas surrounding Dera Sacha Sauda HQ in Sirsa which will continue till search operations last.

    Pharmacy medicines without label, OB van, a Lexus car without number found inside the Dera headquarters, said reports.

    Meanwhile, Haryana minister Anil Vij, who was under fire for his ties with Ram Rahim, said that he had donated money to Dera but not Gurmeet Ram Rahim.

    The Dera is spread over two campuses, 600 acres and over 100 acres, about eight km from Sirsa town and 260 km from Chandigarh. The sprawling Dera headquarters houses a stadium, a hospital, educational institutions, a resort, houses, markets and other infrastructure.

    Meanwhile, Dera Spokesperson Vipassana Insan appealed followers to maintain peace.

    ''Dera has always followed law. Appeal followers to maintain peace,'' Vipassana Insan said.

    JCB machine has entered the Dera Sacha Sauda HQ in Sirsa. Authorities have also called 10 blacksmiths inside the HQ as search ops continue.

    The search, which is being videographed, is being conducted under the supervision of court commissioner AKS Pawar appointed by the Punjab and Haryana high court.
