SDRF Constable Ajay Singh and Wife Prachi Found Dead in Their Lucknow Home

A State Disaster Response Force constable and his spouse were discovered deceased at their home in Lucknow's Bijnor area on Tuesday morning, according to police reports. Deputy Commissioner of Police Lucknow South, Keshav Kumar, stated that the SDRF unit in Bijnor informed them about the deaths of Constable Ajay Singh and his wife Prachi.

Upon receiving the information, a police team along with a field unit was promptly dispatched to the location. The room was locked from the inside. Through the window grille, officers observed Ajay hanging from the ceiling fan while his wife lay lifeless on the bed. The door was then opened, and both bodies were transported to the mortuary, Kumar informed reporters.

Investigation Underway

No visible injuries were detected on either body, and no suicide note was found at the scene. The cause of death will be ascertained following a post-mortem examination, Kumar added. The police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding these deaths to uncover more details.

Sachin Kumar, a neighbour of the couple, mentioned that they had been residing in the area for two years. He described them as appearing happy together. "Whether it was grocery shopping or running errands, they always went out together. There was never any indication of discord between them," he told reporters.

Community Observations

Sachin also noted that Ajay and Prachi had a love marriage. "I am not aware of any resistance from their families, but we never saw their relatives visiting them here," he added. This observation adds another layer to understanding their relationship dynamics within the community.

The investigation continues as authorities seek to determine what led to this tragic incident. The lack of visible injuries and absence of a suicide note leaves many questions unanswered at this stage.
