School run by Rajinikanth's wife locked over non-payment of rent
Chennai authorities on Wednesday sealed and shut down a school run by superstar Rajinikanth's wife Latha Rajinikanth. The Ashram Matriculation Higher Secondary School, which conducts classes from kindergarten to plus two, is functioning near Race Course at Guindy in Chennai.

The Ashram has again for the second time run into trouble over alleged non-payment. It is learnt that the school run by Rajnikanth's wife has not paid rent to the tune of 10 crores to the landowner for 5 years.
Following this, the owner of the place locked the main entrance of the school on Wednesday. Around 300 students were immediately shifted to the Velachery branch of the school, sources had said.
Meanwhile, the Ashram Matriculation School issued a statement not to believe in this news:
This isn't the first time, earlier in 2011, the land owner had filed a civil suit for eviction after a dispute over rent paid by the school and the matter was pending in a court.
