School Holidays 2025: In view of the ongoing Kanwar Yatra, the district administration of Gautam Buddha Nagar (Noida) has ordered the closure of all schools from Classes 1 to 12 on July 23, 2025. The decision comes amid concerns over student safety due to anticipated heavy traffic and large crowds associated with the annual Hindu pilgrimage.

Only online classes will be permitted on this day, with physical classes resuming from July 24, 2025.

Kanwar Yatra and Its Impact on Daily Life

The Kanwar Yatra, which runs from July 11 to 23, draws lakhs of devotees across North India, particularly in Delhi-NCR and western Uttar Pradesh. Pilgrims travel on foot or by vehicle to fetch holy water from the Ganga, leading to significant traffic disruptions and congestion on key routes.

These conditions make it challenging for school buses and private transport to operate safely, prompting the administration to take preventive action.

Shift to Online Learning for Safety and Continuity

While physical campuses will remain closed, many schools are opting to conduct online classes on July 23. This ensures that students' learning is not interrupted while keeping them safe at home. Schools have communicated the revised schedules to parents and students via internal messaging systems.
