School Holiday On Mahavir Jayanti: Schools in India will be closed on Thursday, April 10, on the occasion of Mahavir Jayanti. A public holiday has been announced and schools will be closed in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bengal, and Telangana.

Though, it is a gazetted holiday, but some private schools may adjust the holiday depending on local preferences.
