Bofors pay off case to be heard in October: SC
The case filed by BJP leader and advocate Ajay Kumar Agarwal will be taken up by a Bench headed by Chief Justice of India, Dipak Mishra.
The Supreme Court will hear the Bofors pay off case in the last week of October. Appeals were filed challenging the Delhi High Court's order discharging the Hinduja brothers in the case.
The case filed by BJP leader and advocate Ajay Kumar Agarwal will be taken up by a Bench headed by Chief Justice of India, Dipak Mishra. The order of the Delhi HC has however not been challenged by the CBI which investigated the case.
The CBI had told the court during the last hearing in December that it was refused permission by the authorities to appeal against the order of the Delhi HC.
The SC had admitted Agarwal's appeals. The Delhi HC had said before parting, it must express the disapproval at the investigation and the manner it went on for 14 years.
