SC to hear Babri demolition case against Advani, BJP leaders today
The SC will hear the CBI plea seeking restoration of criminal conspiracy charges against LK Advani and other BJP leaders.
The Supreme Court on Thursday will hear on if it should revive conspiracy charges against senior Bharatiya Janata Party leaders LK Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi, Uma Bharti, Kalyan Singh and others in connection with the 1992 Babri Masjid demolition case.

The Central Bureau of Investigation had chargesheeted Advani and 20 others under Sections 153A (promoting enmity between classes), 153B (imputations, assertions prejudicial to national integration) and 505 (false statements, rumours etc. circulated with the intent to cause mutiny or disturb public peace) of the Indian Penal Code.
Of the two cases of Babri Masjid demolition, one is against Advani and the other is against the BJP leaders who were on the dais at Ram Katha Kunj in Ayodhya around 200 metres from the mosque site, where many provocative speeches were allegedly made.
Earlier this week, the SC had asked all parties to file their response in the matter, saying that it will hear the case after two weeks.
