SC approves draft constitution of BCCI, dumps one state one vote policy
New Delhi, Aug 9: The Supreme Court has approved the draft BCCI Constitution with alterations, while dumping the one state one vote policy.

The court also gave full memberships to Saurashtra, Vidharbha, Mumbai cricket association,
Railways, Services and varsities association.
Further the court also approved the principle of cooling off period, but added that this would not kick in after every term. The cooling off period will be imposed after two consecutive terms whether in the BCCI or state associations or a combination of both.
The BCCI constitution would be registered in four weeks with the TN Registrar of Societies, the court also said. Further the court also asked state cricket associations to adopt the BCCI constitution within 30 days.
