SBI PO Recruitment 2024: 600 Vacancies Across Categories—Check The Details Inside
The State Bank of India (SBI) has officially announced 600 vacancies for Probationary Officers (PO), including both fresh and backlog positions, according to a Jagran Josh report. SBI PO Recruitment: Overview
The SBI is accepting online applications from eligible candidates to fill 600 PO vacancies. The application process will be open from December 27, 2024, to January 16, 2025. The selection process involves three stages: a Preliminary Examination, a Main Examination, and an Interview.

SBI PO Recruitment: Category-Wise Distribution
Out of the 600 vacancies, 586 are regular vacancies and 14 are backlog positions. For the Scheduled Caste (SC) category, 87 vacancies are available, while the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category has 57 positions, which include 14 backlog vacancies. The Other Backward Classes (OBC) category has 158 vacancies, and the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) category has 58 openings. The remaining 240 vacancies are for the Unreserved (UR) category.
It is important to note that OBC reservations are applicable only to candidates belonging to the non-creamy layer. Candidates from the creamy layer are considered under the Unreserved category.
