'Save Votes, Save the Constitution’ Yatra Is a Fight for Future Generations: AAP MP Sanjay Singh

The second day of the Aam Aadmi Party’s 'vot bachao, samvidhan bachao’ AAP padyatra saw stronger crowds and louder support in Uttar Pradesh. The march aims to alert voters about alleged misuse of SIR, claimed voter list deletions and attempts to weaken the Constitution, mainly affecting poor and marginalised communities.

This six-day AAP padyatra is led by senior Aam Aadmi Party leader, Uttar Pradesh in-charge and MP Sanjay Singh. The march began on Monday morning from J.R. Palace near Ambedkar Park, in front of the CRPF camp on Moradabad Road, Rampur, and moved towards different localities through the day.

AAP padyatra highlights voter rights and constitutional concerns

Sanjay Singh said large-scale irregularities are being prepared in the Uttar Pradesh voter list before elections. According to Sanjay Singh, the plan is to influence the democratic process by removing names and misusing SIR. Sanjay Singh stressed that a vote is not only a right but also the biggest strength of the people.

Sanjay Singh added that SIR is being turned into a tool to weaken this strength. Sanjay Singh stated that Aam Aadmi Party will expose this entire plan in every district, village and neighbourhood. The party wants each locality to understand how changes in lists can silence whole communities.

AAP padyatra focuses on future democracy and people’s role

The AAP MP Sanjay Singh said the current fight is not against one election or one government. Sanjay Singh described it as a struggle to protect democratic rights for coming generations. Sanjay Singh warned that if attacks on the vote succeed now, the people’s voice could be suppressed permanently.

Sanjay Singh explained that Aam Aadmi Party is trying to make citizens the guards of this fight. The party wants people to ensure that no government can play with the Constitution or voting rights. According to Sanjay Singh, alert voters can stop any attempt to steal votes or cut names.

AAP padyatra route, public response and core issues

During the AAP padyatra, when the march entered Dalpatpur in Moradabad, local residents gave Sanjay Singh a grand welcome. After crossing into Moradabad limits, the march received strong support at almost every point. Crowds joined from different lanes as the padyatra moved further inside the district.

The second day of the AAP padyatra passed through several areas while maintaining direct contact with people. By evening, the march reached Insha Garden at Chamora near the railway crossing in Dalpatpur, Moradabad, where the team halted for the night. Volunteers continued discussions with locals during the halt.

On the route, hundreds of party workers, youth, women and local residents greeted Sanjay Singh at many spots. Many walked with the procession, raising slogans on saving votes and the Constitution. Their participation turned the AAP padyatra into a moving campaign against alleged vote theft and constitutional weakening.

Sanjay Singh also said politics is being used to distract from serious national problems. Unemployment, rising prices, farmer distress and the poor state of schools and hospitals are being ignored. According to Sanjay Singh, Aam Aadmi Party focuses on rights and work, and would prioritise education, healthcare and jobs in power.
