Sasikala Natarajan to face trial in FERA case
1996 FERA case returns to haunt AIADMK's General Secretary
AIADMK chief, Sasikala Natarajan will have to stand trial in a FERA case. The Madras High Court on Wednesday quashed an order which had discharged her from the 1996 FERA case.

The Economic Offences Court had on recently discharged Sasikala in the case following which the Enforcement Directorate challenged the same in the HC.
The ED had said that a company had availed a loan of Rs 3 crore from a nationalised bank in Chennai based on the security deposit of an NRI. Sasikala was accused of drawing Rs 2.20 crore which she used to buy a part of her holdings in a tea estate.
