Sarbananda Sonowal Seeks Votes for Modis Development Agenda in Dibrugarh
Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, the BJP candidate for Dibrugarh, appealed to voters to support Prime Minister Narendra Modis development-oriented policies and good governance. He emphasized the importance of re-electing the BJP to continue the progress made in building a new India.
Guwahati, Mar 13: Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate for the Dibrugarh constituency, made an impassioned appeal to the electorate on Wednesday, urging them to vote for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of development politics and good governance.

Modi's Guarantee: Social Justice, Security, and Development
Sonowal, who holds the Union portfolios of Shipping, Ports, Waterways, and Ayush, embarked on a tour of Tinsukia, Margherita, and Digboi towns within his constituency. During his interactions with party workers and members of the National Democratic Alliance's (NDA) alliance partner, the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP), Sonowal emphasized the significance of Prime Minister Modi's leadership.
"Modi ki guarantee (Modi's guarantee) means social justice, social security, development, and the right to a life of dignity," Sonowal asserted. He stressed the importance of re-electing the BJP with a resounding mandate to realize the Prime Minister's vision of building a "Viksit Bharat" (Developed India), ensuring the continuation of the transformative work towards a new India.
Assam's Revival and Global Recognition
Sonowal lauded Prime Minister Modi's visionary leadership, crediting him for elevating India's stature on the global stage. He highlighted the Prime Minister's unwavering commitment to reviving the glory of Assam and the entire Northeastern region.
"Everyone from the Barak and Brahmaputra valleys has received immense support and recognition from the double-engine BJP governments, fostering progress with dignity. We are confident that under the dynamic leadership of Modi ji, Assam will emerge as one of the leading states in India in the near future," Sonowal asserted.
Dibrugarh's Economic Vibrancy and AGP's Role
Sonowal, who holds the distinction of being the first AGP candidate to win the Dibrugarh seat from the Congress in 2004, acknowledged the constituency's rich history and economic vitality, driven by tea gardens and the petroleum and oil industry.
He urged AGP workers to play a pivotal role in ensuring that the NDA alliance surpasses the 400-seat mark in the upcoming polls. Sonowal's political journey includes his subsequent victory in the Lakhimpur Lok Sabha constituency in 2014 after joining the BJP in 2011. He was subsequently inducted as the Minister of State for Sports and Youth Affairs in Prime Minister Modi's first cabinet.
Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal's appeal for support in Dibrugarh underscores the significance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership and the transformative impact of his development agenda. Sonowal's emphasis on social justice, security, and development resonates with the aspirations of the electorate, while his call for AGP workers' active participation reflects the spirit of collaboration within the NDA alliance. As the nation gears up for the upcoming polls, Sonowal's message serves as a rallying cry for the BJP's vision of a prosperous and inclusive India.
