Saradha scam: ED summons noted painter Subhaprasanna
Kolkata, Nov 25: Noted painter Subhaprasanna was summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) today over the Saradha chitfund scam.
Inside reports suggest that the ED was looking into the land bought by the painter here to set up an art enterprise. They were also investigating his dealing with the Saradha group.

The Calcutta High Court yesterday had rejected the bail prayer of Sandhir Agarwal, an accused in the case, who was arrested by the CBI and is in judicial custody.
The current spate of arrests pertaining to the Saradha scam has been a setback for the Mamata government. Earlier this month, Trinamool Congress MP and Saradha scam prime accused Kunal Ghosh was arrested and last week it was Srinjoy Bose. Kunal Ghosh was later shifted to the hospital after he allegedly committed suicide in custody.
