Saradha- CBI to question 10 top TMC leaders soon
New Delhi, Jan 9: The Central Bureau of Investigation has learnt that there were ten top Trinamool Congress leaders who benefitted from the Saradha scam.
CBI officials who will probe these ten persons tell OneIndia that once their questioning is complete the names would be added to chargesheet depending on the evidence found on them.

The CBI has questioning several accused and has learnt that ten TMC leaders benefitted directly from the Saradha scam and had even allowed the mastermind Sudipta Sen continue with the fraud.
Under the lens:
Under the lens of the CBI are four Lok Sabha members, a former general secretary, a former MP and his wife, two Rajya Sabha MP and an artist close to the party. This list does not include those like Madan Mitra or Kunal Ghosh who have already been arrested by the CBI.
The CBI during its questioning of Mitra sought details about the ten persons and their alleged role in the Saradha scam. Mitra is said to have given out some details linking these members to the scam.
The CBI says that Mitra who was very reluctant to answer questions all these months has opened up quite a bid lending assistance to the ongoing probe.
The CBI wants to wrap up the investigations into this case as soon as possible. It will also approach the Supreme Court with its final report.
Already the CBI has filed its 6th supplementary chargesheet recently in which it had named Nalini Chidambaram, wife of P Chidambaram, former union minister.
However the CBI has not named her as an accused or witness in the chargesheet and says that she was privy to certain information on the controversial deal relating to a television channel. The CBI which had questioned Nalini last year says that they will go into the details of this angle at a later stage.
