Sanjay Singh Slams BJP In First Speech After Getting Released From Tihar Jail
In his first address since being released from Delhi's Tihar jail, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Sanjay Singh launched a scathing attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), accusing them of fostering dictatorship in the country.
"They want to break the AAP...'Tanashahi macha rakhi hai desh ke andhar' (Dictatorship is prevailing in the country)... I was in jail for six months, and every worker, and leader of AAP is standing with Arvind Kejriwal," Singh asserted.

Singh condemned the BJP-led Central government, alleging their intent to target AAP leaders like Atishi, Saurabh Bhardwaj, and Raghav Chadha. "You want to topple Arvind Kejriwal's government. You want to scare our MLAs. You will arrest Atishi, want to arrest Saurabh Bharadwaj, want to arrest Durgesh Pathak, Raghav Chaddha, will raid the houses of our MLAs, you want to interrogate Kailash Gehlot for 4.5 hours," he declared.
The arrest of Sanjay Singh on October 4 last year marked the third instance of an AAP leader's arrest in connection with the now-defunct Delhi liquor policy case. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) alleged Singh's pivotal role as a conspirator in the reported scam, citing his purported links with suspects and involvement in the illicit acquisition of funds.
