Recently, the frequent grant of parole to Sanjay Dutt created huge uproar and brought Maharashtra Government under the docks.

Earlier in February this year, the Bombay High Court had asked State Government to tell the steps taken by them for modifying parole and furlough rules. The court also asked the government to file an affidavit on the same.

The 55-year-old actor is undergoing the remainder of his five-year jail term in Pune's Yerwada jail. He has been accused for possessing illegal firearms that was part of a cache of weapons meant to be used during the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts.
