Sangeet Som defends visit to Dadri, blames cops for violence

New Delhi, Oct 6: BJP MLA Sangeet Som on Tuesday defended his visit to Dadri and blamed the cops for the violence that erupted in Dadri.

Speaking to CNN-IBN, Som defended his visit and said: "Dadri killing was routine killing and not communal in nature. Cops are to blame for the violence."

Som went on to add that innocent were being framed in the incident.

Meanwhile, the UP Police has sought to file an FIR against Som for alleged violation of prohibitory orders in Bishada village.

Som was seen addressing addressing public meetings in view of the sensitive situation prevailing in the area.

Senior BJP leaders such as Arun Jaitely and Rajnath Singh on the other hand have condemned the Dadri incident and have appealed for peace in the area.

Jaitley said that incidents such as the one that took place in Dadri was hurting India's image.
