Samajwadi Party Manifesto 2024 Launched For Lok Sabha Polls, Pledges Caste-Based Census By 2025
The poll manifesto by the name of 'Janta Ka Maang Patra - Humara Adhikar' for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections 2024 was launched by Samajwadi Party supremo Akhilesh Yadav.
According to the news agency PTI, the manifesto promises a caste-based census by 2025 to ensure justice and equity for all by 2029.

Additionally, in the Agnipath scheme, it was mentioned that there would be an end and regular recruitment in the armed forces, as introduced by the party in Janta Ka Maang Patra - Humara Adhikar.
Samajwadi Party Manifesto 2024 Launched
The 'vision document' was released at the SP headquarters in Lucknow in the presence of senior party leaders, as reported by ABP. In its manifesto, it was stated by the party that by 2025, all government vacancies for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Other Backward Classes will be filled. By doing this, the participation of all sections of society in the private sector will be ensured, as per the media report.
Highlights of Samajwadi Party's Manifesto
Several promises directed towards the welfare of the farmers were laid out by the SP. These include:
- A Minimum Support Price (MSP) for all crops, including milk.
- The calculation for MSP will be based on the Swaminathan Formula (C2+50%).
- A legal guarantee of MSP will be provided to all farmers.
- All agricultural loans, including those for landless farmers, will be waived off by 2024.
- Free-of-cost irrigation will be provided to all farmers.
- Establishment of a Farmers' Commission to monitor agricultural loans and provide regular relief to farmers.
- A pension of Rs. 5000 per month will be provided to all small and marginal farmers, including landless/tenant farmers.
- Mandis will be established every 10 kilometres in all major agricultural states.
- Establishment of a rolling fund of Rs. 10,000 crore to ensure timely payment for sugarcane farmers in Uttar Pradesh.
- Private agricultural labourers will be paid 40% of their wages through MGNREGA.
- For the Youth and Employment, it was stated by the Samajwadi Party that the wages under MGNREGA will be increased by Rs. 450 and workdays by 150. Additionally, the following guarantees were provided:
- A guarantee of urban employment similar to MGNREGA will be implemented in the first session of the Parliament before 2024.
- All vacant government positions will be filled immediately.
- Establishment of a National Employment Policy and Mission for Employment for everyone.
- Implementation of a laptop distribution scheme for the youth across the nation.
- Complete eradication of corruption in paper leaks and competitive exams.
