Samajwadi leader's act in House draws flak

Union Water Resource minister Uma Bharti said: "The act by Akshay Yadav is condemnable and whatever action is to be taken against him will be decided by the Speaker."

New Delhi, Nov 24: Union ministers Uma Bharti and Harsh Vardhan condemned the action of Samajwadi Party leader Akshay Yadav, who hurled papers in the Lok Sabha towards the reporters' table.

Union Water Resource minister Uma Bharti said: "The act by Akshay Yadav is condemnable and whatever action is to be taken against him will be decided by the Speaker."

Union Minister for Science & Technology Harsh Vardhan also condemned the act saying the sanctity of the House must be preserved.

"The act is totally condemnable. This is very wrong. No one should show disrespect to the House," said Vardhan.

Samajwadi Party leader Akshay Yadav hurled papers towards the reporters' table as the Speaker adjourned the House in the morning.
