Saif Ali Khan has no problem to give Padma Shri award back: Kareena Kapoor
Mumbai, March 23: Days after the fresh controversy over Padma Shri award and her husband, Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor finally broke her silence.
Speaking about the controversy, Kareena claimed that Saif will not have issue if he is asked to give back the award. She also claimed that her husband did not ask for the award, rather it was 'bestowed' upon him.

Kareena's reaction came when she was asked to comment on media reports which recently had claimed that Saif Ali Khan might be stripped of his Padma Shri award.
The media reports regarding Saif's Padma Shri award had surfaced following a revelation through an RTI application. According to the information, government in Aug, 2014 was examining a demand for taking back the Padma Shri conferred on Saif.
The government reportedly was concerned about the case against Saif in a Mumbai court which had framed charges against the Bollywood actor.
It is alleged that Khan had punched on the nose of a South Africa-based businessman and his father-in-law at a Colaba hotel in Feb 2012.
Saif along with his two other friends pleaded not guilty in the incident after the metropolitan court in Mumbai read out the charges to them in March, 2014.
Demanding that the actor be stripped of the award conferred in 2010, an RTI activist had filed a complaint with the Union Home Ministry on March 14, 2014.
In response to a subsequent RTI application filed to know the status of his complaint, the Home Ministry had replied to him that "the matter was under examination".
Commenting on the controversy, Kareena also said, "The fact is that it is a national honour and they have obviously researched pretty well to have given him this award."
Speaking about her husband's reaction, the Bollywood actress also mentioned, "I haven't discussed it with him yet but I am quite sure he is pretty relaxed and okay to give it back."
