Saeed Jaffrey passes away: Twitterati condole death of multifaceted, versatile veteran actor

New Delhi, Nov 16: Prominent faces from Indian film fraternity such as Shekar Kapur, Madhur Bhandarkar, Rishi Kapoor and politicians such as PM Narendra Modi and I&B Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore on Monday condoled the death of veteran actor Saeed Jaffrey.

Jaffrey, the Indian-British actor, who had worked in various Hindi films passed away on Monday at the age of 86. He's remembered for his role of Mir Roshan Ali in Satyaji Ray's Bollywood classic 'Shataranj Ke Khiladi'.

The tragic news was shared by Jaffrey's niece Shaheen Aggarwal on her Facebook account. Jaffrey is left with three daughters Meera, Zia, and Sakina Jaffrey. (Veteran actor Saeed Jaffrey dies at 86)

Jaffery was known for his roles in movies "Shatranj Ke Khiladi", "Gandhi", "Henna", "Ram Teri Ganga Maili", "Dil", "The Man Who Would Be King", "A Passage to India" among others.
