The spiritual leader of Parmarth Niketan Ashram in Rishikesh, Swami Chidanand Saraswati, and Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswati, along with other devotees, participated in a 'hawan' ceremony at the Paramarth Niketan Kumbh Mela Camp in Prayagraj. Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswati shared her experience of the first 'Amrit Snan' at Triveni Sangam, describing it as a "divine event" and expressing gratitude for the opportunity.

Significance of Amrit Snan

Sadhvi Bhagawati reflected on the significance of the Amrit Snan, noting that it represents unity among people from various countries and races who come together to take a holy dip. She expressed her appreciation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for their support. She stated, "This is not only an event but a message to the world about how the world comes together in the name of peace, faith and devotion at the time of conflict and war."

Makar Sankranti Celebrations

On Makar Sankranti, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath extended his best wishes to those participating in Mahakumbh 2025 by taking a holy dip in the Ganga. He congratulated saints, Kalpvasis, and devotees through a post on social media platform X. CM Yogi described Mahakumbh as a symbol of Sanatan Dharma's immense power and faith.

Upcoming Bathing Dates

Maha Kumbh began on January 13 and will continue until February 26. Important bathing dates include January 29 for Mauni Amavasya (Second Shahi Snan), February 3 for Basant Panchami (Third Shahi Snan), February 12 for Maghi Purnima, and February 26 for Maha Shivaratri. These dates mark significant events during this grand religious gathering.

The first 'Amrit Snan' concluded with 35 million devotees performing the sacred ritual at Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj on Makar Sankranti. This massive turnout highlights the deep-rooted faith and devotion associated with this auspicious occasion. The event underscores India's cultural richness and spiritual heritage.
