Drone Attacks and Airspace Diversion

The Azerbaijani plane was following its scheduled route when it attempted multiple landings at Grozny airport. During this time, Ukrainian drones were attacking Grozny, Mozdok, and Vladikavkaz. Russian air defense systems were actively countering these drone assaults.

The Kremlin highlighted that the passenger aircraft was operating according to its planned schedule. However, due to the ongoing drone attacks, it had to divert from its intended path.

Condolences and Recovery Wishes

In his statement, Putin conveyed heartfelt condolences to those who lost loved ones in the crash. He also wished for a swift recovery for those injured during this unfortunate incident.

This tragic event has underscored the complexities of navigating airspace amidst regional conflicts. The situation remains tense as efforts continue to ensure safety in affected areas.
