RTI seeks details of PMO's social media managers

New Delhi, Sept 4: A Right To Information application (

) seeking the details of people who handle Prime Minister's Office (PMO) on social media networks has yielded some interesting results, says a

The very well managed Twitter account of PMO is managed by a 'media cell', responded PMO, which refused to divulge more details on who posts the tweets on behalf of the office. The query was filed by Salim Baig.

Baig had also asked if there was a separate budget allocated for the social media accounts management. The PMO denied there was any such allocation.

The inquisitive applicant also sought to know if PMO has 'records' or file notings available of its social media activities. PMO replied that there was no such records available.
