RTI plea seeking information on PM Modi's degree rejected
New Delhi, April 14: Delhi University on Thursday, April 14 rejected an RTI plea seeking information on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's BA degree.
According to news reports, the reason behind the refusal of RTI plea is the inability to find the roll number, without which it would be difficult. The plea was filed by a Delhi resident named Hansraj Jain.

Central Information Commission (CIC) had accepted the plea but later dismissed it.
During Lok Sabha elections 2014, PM Modi had submitted in his affidavit that he did Bachelors of Arts in Political Science from DU through distance education in 1978.
Earlier also, RTI pleas have been filed to know about the information on PM 's educational qualification.
Previously, Gujarat University and PMO had also denied sharing information about Modi's Masters degree.
