RTI activist shot dead by unidentified gunmen in Meerut

Meerut, May 25: A 40-year-old RTI activist was shot dead by unidentified gunmen here over an old property dispute, police said today.

Sanjay Tyagi, a resident of Rasna village, was yesterday shot dead by some unknown assailants while he was on his way to his fields. The body bore six bullet wounds, police said.

On the complaint of Sanjay's father, police registered a case of murder against the unidentified accused.
