RSS Leader Indresh Kumar Calls for a Lynching-Free India, Condemning Violence Against Cows and Men

Senior RSS leader Indresh Kumar has called for India to be free from lynching, whether of cows or humans. Speaking at a photo exhibition celebrating Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday and his 100 days in office, Kumar emphasised the need for a lynching-free nation. He stated, "No cow lynching, no man lynching, we condemn both, make Bharat lynching free."

Kumar praised Modi's leadership, attributing significant national development to his tenure. He highlighted Modi's role in managing the Covid crisis and promoting yoga globally. Additionally, he credited Modi for including the African Union in the G20 under India's presidency, which he believes added a new dimension to the group.

Political Stability and Development

Discussing political matters, Kumar commented on Atishi's appointment as Delhi's chief minister. He stressed that political stability is crucial for national growth and social harmony. "Instability in politics becomes an impediment in growth of the country," he noted, adding that it can also disrupt social peace.

Kumar also mentioned a recent event involving a calf born at Modi's residence, named Deepjyoti by the prime minister. Modi shared a video of himself with the calf, symbolising care and tenderness. This incident was used to reinforce the message against lynching.

Unity Amidst Diversity

Addressing concerns about cow vigilante-related lynchings, Kumar acknowledged the sensitivity surrounding cows in India. He advocated for an environment where people from different faiths coexist peacefully. "We should strive to create an environment in which there is no cow lynching and no man lynching," he said.

Kumar criticised those who attempt to divide society along caste and religious lines. He expressed optimism that such divisive hopes are being thwarted. He also suggested that there is a growing global sentiment towards building a peaceful world free from conflict.

The exhibition marking Modi's birthday also celebrated his third term as prime minister. Kumar remarked on Modi's popularity, saying it reflects his presence in people's hearts worldwide. "God has granted him the fortune to be a prime minister for the third time," Kumar said.

Kumar reiterated his stance against all forms of lynching earlier this month in Patna. He emphasised that ensuring peace among diverse communities requires eliminating both cow and human lynchings. His comments align with his broader vision of unity amidst diversity.
