Rs 8 lakh, demo EVMs seized from BJD MLA's nephew

), Apr 1: Police today seized over Rs 8 lakh and two demo EVMs allegedly from the nephew of

's Nuapada

Rajendra Dholkia.

On intelligence input, police intercepted the car of the MLA's nephew Jaya Dholkia and on search found Rs 8,18,000 cash and two demo EVMs, police said. The money was suspected to be carried by the MLA's nephew for election purpose.

Sitting MLA Dholkia is one of the candidates for the Assembly elections in Nuapada which is going to polls on April 10.
