RRB ALP CBT 2 Dates Announced, JE Exam Changes Revealed – Check Details

The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have announced the dates for the second Computer Based Test (CBT 2) of the Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) recruitment examination for 2024. The ALP CBT 2 will be held on March 19 and 20.

Revised JE CBT 2 Dates Coming Soon

Additionally, RRBs have rescheduled the CBT 2 for various other posts, including Junior Engineer (JE), Depot Material Superintendent (DMS), and Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant (CMA). The revised dates for these exams will be published soon.

Exam City, Date, and Travel Authority Available 10 Days Prior

Candidates can download their exam city, date, and travel authority (for SC and ST candidates) from the official RRB websites 10 days before the exam date. The e-call letters or admit cards will be made available four days before the exam date, as indicated in the exam city and date notification link.

Aadhaar Verification Mandatory at Exam Centres

As per the announcement, candidates will undergo biometric authentication using their Aadhaar cards at the exam centres before entering the exam halls. All candidates must carry their original Aadhaar card or a printout of e-verified Aadhaar.

For candidates who have not yet authenticated their Aadhaar, RRBs advise logging into rrbapply.gov.in with their credentials to complete the verification process. This will ensure a smooth entry into the examination centre.

Rely Only on Official RRB Websites for Updates

RRBs have cautioned candidates to rely solely on the official RRB websites for the latest updates. They warned against being misled by unauthorised sources and fraudulent individuals making false promises regarding job appointments in exchange for money. The recruitment process is merit-based, determined solely by the Computer Based Test.

18,799 ALP Vacancies and 7,951 JE Vacancies

The ALP recruitment exam is for 18,799 vacancies, a significant increase from the initially advertised 5,696 vacancies due to "additional demand from Zonal Railways." Meanwhile, the JE recruitment exam covers 7,951 vacancies, including roles for Chemical Supervisors, Metallurgical Supervisors, Junior Engineers, and other technical positions.
