Angels on Rails: RPF Womens Compassionate Assistance to Pregnant Passengers
The Railway Protection Forces women personnel have gone above and beyond to support pregnant women during train journeys, assisting in 206 childbirths. The Railway Protection Force (RPF) women personnel have demonstrated remarkable compassion and dedication by assisting pregnant women in labour during their train journeys. In a commendable effort, the RPF has facilitated 206 childbirths, providing crucial support to women in need. This initiative, known as Operation Matrishakti, highlights the RPF's commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of passengers.

Operation Rail Suraksha: Combating Theft and Safeguarding Rail Property
In its pursuit to safeguard rail property, the RPF has launched Operation Rail Suraksha. Under this operation, the force has registered 6,312 cases of theft, resulting in the recovery of stolen railway property worth Rs 12.48 crore. Additionally, 12,099 offenders have been apprehended for their involvement in these thefts.
Operation Upalabdh: Cracking Down on Touts
The RPF has also taken stringent action against touts through Operation Upalabdh. As part of this initiative, 5,544 touts have been arrested, and 5,207 cases have been registered against them. Notably, more than 990 authorized agents of IRCTC were found to be using illegal means to corner reserved tickets, and they too have been brought to justice.
Operation NanheFaristey: Reuniting Lost Children with Families
In a heartwarming endeavour, the RPF has launched Operation NanheFaristey, which focuses on rescuing and reuniting lost children with their families. Through this initiative, the RPF has successfully reunited 11,794 children with their loved ones.
Other Notable Achievements of the RPF
In addition to the aforementioned operations, the RPF has achieved several other notable milestones during 2023. These include:
- Rescuing 1,048 people from human traffickers under Operation Action against Human Trafficking
- Saving 3,719 lives under Mission Jeevan Raksha
- Recovering narcotics valued at approximately Rs 40.32 crore under Operation NARCOS
- Attending to more than 2 lakh calls seeking real-time security-related assistance during journeys
- Apprehending 493 suspects fleeing by trains under Operation Rail Prahari and handing them over to concerned agencies for offences committed outside the railway area
