UP: Robbers strike at temple, decamp with ornaments

Shahjahanpur, Apr 4: Armed robbers struck at a temple and fled with ornaments and donations after killing the 60-year-old guard in Jalalpur town, police said today.

The thieves fled with ornaments adorning the idol of the deity along with donations in the 'daan patra' last night, after stabbing the chowkidar, Ganga Prasad alias Munna, they said.

The incident came to light this morning, police said, adding, investigation is on.
