RLD's Jayant Chaudhary faints on stage in Mathura
Mathura, Oct 6: Former Mathura MP and RLD leader Jayant Chaudhary today fell on the stage and fainted while addressing a meeting at a village here, party sources said.
However, he regained consciousness after a while, they said. Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) spokesperson in Mathura Pawan Chaturvedi said, Chaudhary fell on the stage as soon as he stood up to address the audience at Mandi Samiti in Kosikalan village. "He was rushed to Delhi," Chaturvedi said, adding the meeting was cancelled.

Chaudhary was addressing the meeting to conclude his 15-km foot march from Kotwan to Kosikalan village on the Haryana border during which he raised the issues concerning farmers.
Earlier, during his march, he condemned those "questioning the conduct of army" in the wake of surgical strikes along the LoC.
"We may have differences but it is not proper to raise question on army," he said. Referring the present environment of frontiers, he said, "Nobody wants war since aftereffects of war are disastrous. However, people in the border areas have virtually been forced to leave the area, abandoning their crop," he stated.
He said like Prime Minister Relief Fund, a separate fund for families of martyrs should be set up. He said if voted to power in the state he would start 'Shaheed Smriti Gram Vikas Yojana' Jayant lamented that 'Jai Jawan Jai Kisan' slogan of by former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri has been "converted by both the governments- Centre and Uttar Pradesh government- into 'Maar Jawan Maar Kisan'(indifferent attitude towards both)."
